Local HQ

This year at Perth Design Week, our focus is on P R O C E S S, and we’re proud to present an exhibition that reflects exactly what we stand for: creating locally, thoughtfully and beautifully in collaboration with our brands, makers and dedicated design team.

Because great design doesn’t just appear fully formed. It evolves through conversation, testing, refining and problem-solving. It’s shaped by people, place and purpose.

At Local HQ inside the historic Liberty Theatre, we’re sharing more than finished pieces. We’re sharing the thinking behind them, the briefs that sparked them, the hands that built them and the partnerships that made them possible.

From Skylark, proudly made by Castledex in response to a real client need, to the Column Table by Klaro Industrial Design, where early collaboration drives every design decision, each piece tells a story about how process shapes outcome.

Discover Acustico Lighting, handcrafted in Melbourne using predominantly Global GreenTag certified materials. Explore True Design, a European designer-led range manufactured locally under licence, proving that high-end design and responsible production can go hand in hand.

Experience Ocee Four Design, where English character meets Scandinavian simplicity. A collection that balances warmth and clean function, designed for spaces that need to feel both practical and welcoming.

Alongside our exhibition, we’re joined by creative peers who deepen the conversation around local collaboration and meaningful design, from sustainable textiles to Indigenous-led flooring and emerging artistic voices.

This isn’t just about what you see.
It’s about how it’s made.
Who it’s made with.
And why that matters.

Wander through. Ask questions. Start conversations.

Come curious. Leave inspired.

Meet the Artist — Julia Freiseisen

Drop by to meet Austrian-born, Perth-based artist Julia Freiseisen. Working intuitively across painting, sculpture and installation, Julia creates abstract expressionist works shaped by the Australian landscape, human emotion, and the subtle energies that connect us. Her pieces are felt rather than explained. She’ll be in the space to chat and share her process alongside her exhibited piece. No formal presentation, simply an open invitation to connect, converse and explore.
